Name: Georgiana Weasley
Age: 15, a fifth year
Blood Status: Pureblood
House: TBD
School Position: Captain of the Duelling Club
Wand: Hazel and unicorn hair, 12 inches, flexible
Appearance: Georgiana is pretty, with pale skin and a slightly upturned nose which gives her face an impish cast. She has a great quantity of curly red hair, which she uses every resource at her disposal in attempts to tame. She has a fondness for muggle styled clothing, but in the bright colors and patterns available to the wizarding community.
Family Reputation(s): The Weasleys are a pure-blooded family with a stable, well-recognized name. They have a small fortune and all the respectability that pure blood and wealth lend to such a family. The family tries to stay largely neutral on controversial topics (such as the Muggle Question), leading some to respect their choice of privacy, though many question their loyalty to the wizarding cause.
History: Georgiana, who prefers the nickname of Georgie, had the childhood of any wizard child who grew up among wizarding families. She and her twin brother, Ferdinand (who goes by Fred), regularly "borrowed" their parents' brooms and other magical devices to go adventuring in the woods near their home. The two of them ran fairly wild, ranging far and wide, narrowly dodging similarly exploring muggle children.
Their father also kept a large collection of scale models muggle inventions, housing them in a "gallery of science." He was fascinated by what he saw as the muggles' attempts to perform magic without having the benefit of actual magic. Artorius' gallery was easily written off as just an eccentric man of leisure's plaything by his peers, but Georgie found the gallery to be an embarassing waste of time when the wizarding community had a much more (to her eyes, at least) advanced and fully evolved culture with no need of science. Why develop an "engine" for faster travel when one could use a portkey or simply apparate? Despite all of this, Georgie did spend hours secretly transfixed by the infinitesmal mechanical gears turning inside of her father's swan-shaped music box and the tinny music that escaped it.
She and her brother spent more time together than they spent apart, and developed many hobbies in common. One of these was the attempted invention of spells. They spent many hours in the terms away from Hogwarts sitting in dimly-lit, near-silent chambers in their father's house focused on captured insects and mice, attempting to change their natures or transfigure them into other creatures. One of their attempts was on a puffskein, who developed tiny unusable dragonfly wings that are mostly concealed in its thick fur. Georgie took a fancy to it and named it Felix.
Though she dislikes studying, Georgie is a decent student, earning mostly good marks in the classes she finds interesting while her marks suffer in those classes she deems dull. She tried out for her house Quidditch team for three years in a row, only giving up in her fourth year, when she began to put her attention toward the Duelling Club. Practicing mostly against her twin brother, Georgie's skill grew. She managed, through charm, persuasion, and maybe a little bit of bullying, to be elected Captain of the Hogwarts Duelling Club. She thinks very highly of the staff sponsor, Professor Belshwick.
